This film is about Mark, the last person on earth. All others are Cyborgs now. Mark has no interface, so he can not receive updates. He is vulnerable to viruses and has thus been declared a Danger for General Health.
Nina is the daughter of Mark, but as a daughter of an “untouchable” she has little chances. She is structurally discriminated against and addressed to her criminal origin. Everywhere she walks she sees personalized government advertisements that make her clear that she has to do something about it!
The Upgrate she begs to take her father to take is dangerous, especially for someone without interface. But there is no alternative: this is the only way her father can lead a ‘normal and respectful’ life.
